How to Get Here

Pacific Harbour Marina on Bribie Island is an easy 1 hour north of Brisbane and only 45 minutes from the domestic and international airports. We're an hour south of the Sunshine Coast. Download a map here, or view on Google Maps.

 

Getting Here By Boat

Latitude 27° 03’ 1” South - Longitude 153° 08’ 34” East.

Pacific Harbour Marina is on Bribie Island, at the northern end of Moreton Bay. Map number 67 in the 2008 Beacon to Beacon.

 

  • Enter the southern end of Pumicestone Passage. The bridge has a height restriction, so please prepare carefully.

 

(Access from the north involves negotiating Pumicestone Passage. I suggest this is best done on higher tides only, and with detailed maps.  From the south is the simple option).

 

  • From the southern end of Bribie, travel north under the Bribie Island bridge (4.8m clearance at highest astronomical tide).

  • Further north approx 1.0nm turn to starboard into Skippers Canal. Pacific Harbour Marina will be to starboard.

 

Getting Here By Car

  • 40 minutes north of Brisbane, turn off the Bruce Highway onto Bribie Island Road heading east.

  • Follow Bribie Island Road until you are on the Bribie Island Bridge.

  • Take the sharp left right at the end of the bridge. This is Sylvan Beach Esplanade; stay on this until the end. 

  • Turn right at the round about (the only option) onto Marina Boulevard.

  • Follow this until you reach the entrance to the Marina on your left (second round about).

 

Access to Airports

Bribie is 45 minutes drive from Brisbane domestic and international airports and is serviced by all major airlines.  Hire car, and all the typical services are available. Brisbane's City Rail services the airport - see below.  The airport website has more information here.

 

Cols Airport Shuffle offers a service for a fee - a particularly good option for single travellers. See his website for details here. For groups there is a limosine service - at $120 for up to 4 people, this is a convenience choice too. Bribie Limo Service can be reached on 07 3408 7892 and have bigger car options too.

 

Rail Service

Caboolture Train Station is part of the Brisbane City rail network.  Located 22km west of Bribie it is about a 20min drive/taxi.  If you are travelling from the airport the above options are certainly faster and only a few dollars more. See the Queensland Rail website for details here.
